Episode 299 – Broadbent Broadcasts

It’s star organist time and we throw spotlight on Ernest Broadbent. Before he took over from Reginald Dixon, Ernest has played many fine cinema organs including the Dome, Brighton where he was resident. in 1956 the Tower Company offered him a job and by 1966 he was resident in the Empress Ballroom. On the 2nd November 1967 he broadcast his last and only solo programme from the Empress. Theres also some extra material on the end – tune in to find out!
